Maggie is a 1 year old, sable GSD spayed female. She is currently being fostered with two male dogs and one cat. She was surrendered by her previous owners due to a change in family circumstance  when they could no longer care for her. She’s already learned all of her basic obedience commands in her foster home, has house manners and is fully housebroken. Maggie is bred from a working like of GSD so she is a high drive dog who will require continued training, daily exercise and attention. Her favorite activities include playing with her chuck-it ball and wading in a kiddie pool. Although Maggie does not like to swim in the big pool with the other dogs, she does enjoy the water and will happily splash around or play with you and the garden hose. Despite her activity level, she does have a lovely “off” switch and can relax at your feet once she’s had her exercise. She also loves her crate, and to chew on her bones. Maggie is also used to being around small children. Although she can be clumsy and knock little ones over with her body, she is very gentle with her mouth around small children.  Maggie shows good protective qualities in her backyard at the fence line but is quiet in the house when people knock or come to the door. She’s a great, versatile dog who will make an excellent family pet or a sport/competition dog.
